Background-
Jakeman’s Maple Products was involved in a similar venture
years ago that failed due to the lack of available markets. We
had the production but without a market it collapsed. Jakeman’s
have been steadily building markets over the past 15 years to
create demand in the marketplace. Timing for expanding maple production
has never been better. Prices are at record levels and maple syrup
stocks are at their lowest. Prospects for the long term appear
bright as the industry struggles to rebalance supply with demand.
